Student of Graphic Arts Technology at MHCC

I'm in my second year of a two-year program encompassing camera-ready art, digital copy preparation, graphic arts photography, stripping and platemaking, and commercial printing.

Key responsibilities

Camera Ready Art-Reproducing, enlarging, and reducing copy with technical pens for use in a graphics camera.

Digital Copy Preparation-Using Adobe Pagemaker, Adobe Illustrator, and Quark to make publications ready for use in an imagesetter or printer and graphics camera, to be printed on a commercial printer.

Graphic Arts Photography-Using a graphic arts camera (Nu Arc 14x18 and 24x26) to make negatives for use in stripping.

Stripping and Platemaking-Using basic stripping tools to position negatives on a flat. Using flats to burn plates and develop them.

Commercial Printing-Set-up, use, cleaning, and basic maintenance of offset printing presses (AB Dick 360, Hamada 500, Multilith 1250)

Personal Interests

I'm 23 and I've been married for four years to Kirk Rolofson. I have a 3 year old girl named Madeline. I love animals and I usually have a variety of pets on hand, now I have a leopard gecko, seven goldfish, and a parakeet. I am artistic and I develop that through drawing, painting, crafts, photography, scrapbooks, and web design. I enjoy desktop publishing and gaming with my PC. I've been following Jesus since I was six years old.
